At the end of the fellowship, the trainee will have attained competence in the assessment and surgical management (including pre and post-operative care) of cancer and trauma patients requiring complex reconstruction. This will include the entire spectrum of reconstruction, with an emphasis on free tissue transfer. It is anticipated that the successful fellow will ultimately embark on independent plastic surgery practice, maintaining their practice specialization in complex cancer and trauma reconstruction and training future generations of reconstructive plastic surgeons.

Mentor Canada has been a long-time supporter of the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and we thank them for their continued leadership and funding of this important initiative.
